You may have noticed some changes at the water meters at the top of Bell stairs.
A stand, power connection and electronics (‘The Console’) have been installed and electrically connected to the water meters and valves.
What is about to happen?
The last stage (3) of the water booking automation will be implemented. This will happen over the next two weeks.
The way bookings are administered will change, increasing convenience for residents and reducing manual work by Water Monitors.
How will it work?
When the system is implemented fully (from 11 May):
- When your booking time slot starts, you need to start the booking from the Water Booking App or from the Console, to start the water flow.
- The system will measure how much water is delivered during your booking slot.
- When you are done, you will Finish the booking and your invoice will be issued immediately.

What does this mean for you?
If you have a water booking in the week starting 11 May: Start and Finish your booking from the system, no meter readings required.
After this, all future bookings will be using the automated system.
